Our Story

H&H Bagels has a storied history, our first location was founded in 1972 on the Upper West Side of New York City and a second location opened in 1974 on the Upper East Side of New York City, becoming a part of popular culture. When people think of a New York bagel, they think of H&H. Our brand recognition in the space is unrivaled, with cameos in Seinfeld, The Office, Sex and the City, How I Met Your Mother, Entourage, and more! 

Our current management team took over in 2014 and have expanded our presence in New York City with new locations on the Upper West Side, Kips Bay, JFK Airport, LaGuardia Airport, Penn Station and Moynihan Train Hall. With over 100 franchise agreements signed, we’re ready to share our beloved bagels and iconic brand with the world.

Our original recipe, traditional bagel making process, and focus on the highest quality ingredients sets our bagels apart from the competition.  Our traditional process is not easy, but we take our original recipe very seriously which is what makes our bagels “Like No Other Bagel in the World”!

The H&H Bagels franchise opportunity provides a business platform with turnkey operations, premium products, an attractive menu, and strong customer demand - all with a recognizable brand that has been a leader in the category for over 50 years. Our team is dedicated to bringing in the best franchisees, providing them with industry-leading support and training, and continuing to build the H&H Bagels brand. 

Franchise Support

Just as we’ve worked tirelessly to develop our authentic and legendary bagels and spreads, we’ve been diligently working to develop our top-of-the-line franchise support system. Our franchisees will get in-depth training so they can produce the H&H Bagels experience for their customers, along with extensive operations training using our trusted H&H Bagels methodology.

OPENING SUPPORT

We will provide on-the-ground and consultative support to raise community awareness and generate excitement about your restaurant opening. H&H will implement our marketing plan and dedicate budget to connect with your local community, influencers, and media. We will teach you how to leverage your current relationships, as well as cultivate new ones, with online and local community influencers and media. Our support won’t stop at the Grand Opening, that’s just the beginning.

Our team knows every inch of the operations from top to bottom. They will remain available to offer ongoing support, and periodic operations evaluations, to make sure you are maintaining the standards set by H&H Bagels.

Complete the inquiry form on our franchising website so we can learn more about you and better understand your goals, background, and capabilities.

INITIAL CALL

This will be a short 10-15 minute call to help us get to know you better, and for you to learn more about H&H Bagels and our franchise recruitment process.

SECOND CALL

On this call, which will happen a week or so after the initial call, we will delve further into the H&H Bagels system and franchise recruitment process.

FDD

We will send you our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) and go through the document. The FDD will only be provided after you have submitted an inquiry form.

Step 3:

Due Diligence

FDD REVIEW

The FDD is an extremely detailed document that will provide the information necessary

for you to make an informed decision about our franchise offering.

TERRITORY RESEARCH

You will be instructed to begin conducting market and other demographic research that will provide the information necessary on your potential territory.

DISCOVERY DAY

Come visit us in New York City and get a further understanding of the H&H Bagels experience. Our team will walk you through the unique H&H Bagels offering and further explore our mission and values.

Consideration

APPROVAL COMMITTEE

The executive team meets to discuss the awarding of your franchise.

Decision

AWARD FRANCHISE

We sign and execute the franchise agreement and/or development agreement.
