Gilbane Building Company Tapped to Build New Artist Court Residences

SARASOTA, Fla. (PRWEB) August 26, 2021 - GK Real Estate has selected Gilbane Building Company to provide construction management at-risk services to construct Artist Court Residences, a mixed-use building in Sarasota, Florida. Designed by Hoyt Architects, this multi-functional project will consist of 69 apartments, approximately 4,000 SF of commercial area, and a parking structure with 166 spaces. The property is occupied by three commercial buildings and a surface parking lot. Due to this, the scope of work proposes demolishing the existing northern building and constructing additional surface parking.

The current design of the building incorporates clean lines with a modernistic, contemporary style, which includes designated retail showrooms, an upper-deck swimming pool, a fitness room, and a coffee and juice bar. Presently, there are eight different floor plans for the layout of the future apartment space. The project will encompass a city block with Gilbane's Sarasota office only steps away, enabling them to maximize their presence and support throughout all phases of the project.
