Engel & Vlkers St. Augustine Breaks Another Local Sales Record

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (PRWEB) September 14, 2021 - Engel & Vlkers Florida today announced the record-breaking sale of 953 N Griffin Shores Dr, which stands as the largest single-family home ever sold in the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Board of REALTORS MLS. License Partner and Private Office Advisor, Jenn Bryndal represented the listing of the 12,665 square foot home.

Built in 2007, the one-and-a-half-acre waterfront estate features views of the Intracoastal Waterway from every room. Totaling a whopping 12,665 square feet, the main home boasts eight bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. A separate guest suite amounts to an additional 2,300 square feet of space, in itself. Other amenities include a four-car garage, two elevators, a home theatre, and a personal fitness center complete with a sauna. Two additional one-acre lots were available for the potential to increase the property size to three-and-a-half-acres, but they were not purchased in this sale.

With a $2.8 million price tag, 953 N Griffin Shores Dr sold for $221 per square foot. The previous record was set in 2003 by a 10,697 square foot home, which sold for $163 per square foot. That was a Victorian home, built in 1863 and located on the waterfront in St. Augustines historic district.

Bryndal left Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty in 2019 to start her own brokerage by partnering with Engel & Vlkers. Since then, she has broken several local sales records including the most expensive intracoastal-front home in St. Augustine; which was later surpassed by another advisor at Engel & Vlkers St. Augustine. Under her leadership, the brokerage has closed over 70 transactions, totaling nearly $54 million year to date.
