Wiss Names Chris Cowan as Partner, Construction Services

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (PRWEB) June 25, 2021 - Wiss, a full-service accounting and business advisory firm, today announces that Chris Cowan has joined Wiss as Partner, Construction Services. Cowan brings with him 15 years of experience advising clients in the Construction space. Most recently, he spent the past four years at CohnReznick, providing accounting and audit services to the firms construction clients.

With the Federal Governments proposed investments on roads, mass transit and rail projects, much of which will impact New Jersey, we are seeing greater demand for accounting and advisory services in the construction space, said Paul Peterson, Managing Partner of Wiss. Chris will be instrumental in helping guide clients and build out our Construction Services practice.

Cowan began his career at Cowan, Gunteski & Co where he spent more than a decade providing leadership and oversight of the firms construction clients.

Having spent the majority of my career servicing the construction industry, I am eager to contribute to an organization that shares the same passion and dedication to construction as I do.

Cowan is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Builders Association and the Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey. In 2011, Cowan was named to the first 30 Under 30 list compiled by the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, NJBizs 40 Under 40 in 2017 and in 2021, Cowan was named to the Construction Financial Management Associations first ever 40 under 40. He holds a B.S. in accounting from Richard Stockton College.
