ARLINGTON, Va. (PRWEB) October 27, 2022 - The North American division of SPS, a leading outsourcing provider for business process solutions and innovative services in document management, was inducted into the U.S. Defense Department (DoD) Military Spouse Employment Program (MSEP) on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, during its in-person induction ceremony and annual event in Arlington, Virginia. SPS joins more than 70 new partners to MSEP bringing the number of employers to more than 615.

MSEP connects military spouses with hundreds of partner employers who commit to recruit, hire, promote and retain military spouses. Since its inception in 2011, MSEP employers have hired more than 220,000 military spouses.

According to the DoD, there are currently about one million U.S. military spouses in the global military community. Over the past decade, the rate of military spouse unemployment has been steady at around 21%, as it is a challenge for military spouses to find and maintain employment with frequent permanent change of station moves.

In response to this new partnership, Dan Moscatiello, CEO North America at SPS, stated, At SPS, we create value through meaningful partnerships, and we are honored to work with MSEP to support military spouses as part of our commitment to supporting under-served segments of our communities. As skilled, diverse problem solvers, we find that military spouses are a good fit as service professionals supporting SPS clients. We thank our service members and their spouses for the service and sacrifice, and look forward to continuing our relationship with MSEP.
