FREDERICK, Md. (PRWEB) December 09, 2022 - The William Woody E. and Nancy Motter Thrasher Fund has been established with The Community Foundation of Frederick County and becomes one of its more than 770 component charitable funds.

Founded by Nancy Thrasher in memory of her husband, Woody, the fund will provide financial support to students pursuing an education in the field of agriculture. Woody grew up and worked on his familys dairy farm with his family and brother. He was focused on helping to perpetuate agriculture studies and Nancy felt that a scholarship fund would be the ideal way to honor his legacy. Frederick County students will benefit from Mrs. Thrashers generosity for years to come.

The Community Foundation works with individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to establish charitable funds that provide grants to area nonprofits and scholarships to students. The Community Foundation has distributed more than $86 million since its founding in 1986. For information about the Community Foundation, visit http://www.FrederickCountyGives.org.
