PHILADELPHIA (PRWEB) May 22, 2023 - Philadelphia labor, employment, workers compensation and family law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson is pleased to announce that partner Michael G. Dryden has been elected a Fellow of The College of Workers Compensation Lawyers.
Election as a Fellow is one of the highest recognitions by a lawyers colleagues of sustained, outstanding performance and contribution to the field of workers compensation law. Every Fellow must meet the Colleges high standards for integrity, professionalism and character.
Being elected as a Fellow of the College of Workers Compensation Lawyers is one of the most meaningful distinctions a workers comp lawyer can achieve, said Dryden. I am humbled to be included along with colleagues who are doing important work in an area of law that affects peoples lives deeply.
The College of Workers Compensation Lawyers was established to honor attorneys who have distinguished themselves in workers compensation law. Members have worked in their field for at least 20 years, representing plaintiffs and defendants, serving as judges, educating others about workers compensation, overseeing agencies, and developing legislation. Individuals are nominated based on their professional qualifications, ethical standards, character, integrity, expertise, and leadership. Fellows further the objective of the College to foster excellence in the field through scholarship, teaching, lecturing, and publishing writings on workers compensation or related fields of law.
Certified as a Workers Compensation specialist by the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Dryden serves as chair of Willig, Williams & Davidsons workers compensation department. He is proud to battle on the side of working people, striving to ensure they receive the benefits to which they are entitled when they incur work-related injuries or fall ill to a work-related disease. His legal counsel has helped hundreds of workers, from firefighters to machinists to truck drivers, claim their rightful benefits for all types of work-related injuries and diseases.
Dryden represents clients in workers compensation and pension matters before the Philadelphia Civil Service Commission. He is actively engaged in the firms management of Heart & Lung Act cases throughout Pennsylvania, including occupational disease claims for cancer, heart disease, and toxic exposures. A recognized expert in this area of law, he has been called upon to testify before state and municipal legislative bodies regarding issues involving workers compensation, occupational disease, and hearing loss. He also trains union leaders on issues involving injured members and conducts educational seminars for union stewards.
The newest class of Fellows of the College of Workers Compensation Lawyers was inducted during a dinner at the conclusion of an American Bar Association national institute program held May 5-6, 2023, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
