Dark Horse CPAs Announce Promotion of Michael Connelly to Principal

BOSTON (PRWEB) June 15, 2023 - Dark Horse CPAs, a top accounting and tax firm serving small businesses and individuals across the nation, announces the promotion of Michael Connelly to Principal. Michaels outstanding work and impactful relationships with his small business and entrepreneurial clientele along with his contributions to supporting and collaborating with his colleagues has earned him a seat at the table, becoming an equity Principal of the firm.

Michael entered the Dark Horse Principal Accelerator Program in November 2021 and methodically built a 6-figure book of business, aided by a deep understanding of his entrepreneurial clienteles needs and a dose of grit to create the practice of his dreams. Due to the quality of his work, the strength of his client and peer relationships as well as his contributions to the firm as a whole, the decision was made to promote him to Principal effective February 2023.

Speaking to the challenges posed by the Accelerator Program, Michael stated, having only worked at one firm before Dark Horse, I was rather nervous about expanding my boundaries and working outside my comfort zone. The leadership team at Dark Horse and my colleagues helped me grow tremendously as a CPA and as a professional. When asked about the most rewarding aspect of his journey in the Accelerator Program, he responded, being part of a team that is changing how public accounting works for both accountants and clients.

In regard to what differed most from his expectations, he explained, I was surprised by how quickly I was able to scale my book of business while maintaining a sustainable balance between work and life. The amount and quality of inbound prospective clients exceeded my expectations, as did my ability to sell myself to those clients. And, as to what he would want other potential Accelerators to know about the Program, its easy to want to discount your prices in order to help people out and grow your practice faster but that only makes scaling your practice and creating value for clients more difficult being stretched too thin for too few dollars. Start with the end in mind and dont let your capacity and desire to grow lead to signing anything less than great clients at great prices.

Moving forward, Michael looks forward to, continuing to grow my book of business, develop my team members and continually find better ways to serve my clients.
