Brian Haney Is NAIFAs 2021 Young Advisor Team Leader of the Year

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (PRWEB) December 15, 2021 - Brian Haney, CLTC, CFBS, CIS, CFS, CAE, LACP, Founder and Vice President of the Haney Company in Silver Spring, MD, is the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) Young Advisor Team Leader of the Year for 2021.

Haney is a member of NAIFA-Greater Washington, D.C., and has served on the chapters Board for more than seven years. He is the current NAIFA-GWDC Young Advisor Team (YAT) Chair and a Past President of the chapter. He has chaired several other NAIFA-GWDC committees and served on the Board of NAIFA-MD. He is a 2015 graduate of NAIFAs Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) and serves as a LILI Moderator.

At the national level, Haney serves on the national YAT Committee and is a member of NAIFAs Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council. He was NAIFAs first Life and Annuity Certified Professional (LACP) Chair and served as a subject-matter expert, developing exam questions and criteria for the certification. He is a highly regarded speaker and has presented at NAIFAs annual conference, has been a featured guest on NAIFA Live, and participates as a presenter in NAIFAs Advisor Ambassador program.

Outside the industry, Haney shows strong leadership in his community. He and his family volunteer at Progress Place homeless shelter in Silver Spring, and he spearheads community initiatives through his condo building and local church partners to support A Wider Circle, an organization whose mission is to end poverty. He is deeply committed to addressing the refugee crisis, volunteering his time and donating money to address the tragedy. He has personally connected with thousands of refugees. Haney has been a mentor as part of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerces Mentor-Protg Program helping young entrepreneurs learn how to grow successful businesses. He also actively involved in the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Haneys many awards and acknowledgments include: West Financial Group New Agent of the Year, MassMutual Life Insurance Company Rising Leader, MassMutual Life Insurance Company Leaders Qualifier, 2017 NAIFAs Advisor Today Four Under 40 recipient, 2018 NAIFA National Diversity Champion, NAIFA Quality Award recipient each year since 2013, MDRT Qualifier since 2009, MDRT Court of the Table Qualifier since 2014, MDRT Top of the Table Qualifier since 2015, 2019 Washington Business Journal 40 Under 40 winner, and 2019 NAILBA ID 20 winner.
