Richard Kellermeyer brings more than 20 years of engineering experience to BeSmartee, and serves as the companys Director of Engineering.

More than an experienced application architect and proven technology leader with a long history of building teams and developing high quality technology products Kellermeyer is also a developer advocate with a passion for empowering and encouraging his teams to thrive in a strong, supportive culture of creativity and innovation.

Before BeSmartee, Kellermeyer served as the engineering manager, technical lead at Roostify, where he oversaw the daily operations of multiple development teams. Throughout his career, he has written several provisional patents, led teams at eight startups and worked as a chef for fine dining restaurant groups.

There are many emotional similarities between the culinary arts and software, Kellermeyer said. Think about software versus a plate of food. Software is the cohesion of multiple parts of logic and a plate of food is the cohesion of elements of a plate and how they work together flavors, smells and visuals. You can measure success by how happy your customer is. If you dont have good teamwork, in both cases, the end result will fall apart because there isnt a shared vision. Its my goal to ensure that our development team maintains a shared vision to build upon the companys success and make BeSmartee the absolute best platform on the market.

In his new role, Kellermeyer is accountable for driving the companys technical and product strategies in support of the companys aggressive growth trajectory.

Richard will play an integral and strategic role in heading BeSmartees software development team, said Veronica Nguyen, Executive Vice President and Co-founder of BeSmartee.
