ZUG, Switzerland (PRWEB) August 27, 2021 - Liquid Exchange, based in Japan, was hacked on Thursday when the company published a post on Twitter stating that their warm wallets had been compromised and that they would suspend all deposits and withdrawals for the time being.

According to Anchor COO, Cristian Bronescu, the hackers have taken more than 10 million ANCT stablecoins, valued at $8.048 million.
The funds have been frozen since the first news of the hack, and Anchor stablecoin is working with Liquid on utilizing all the previously taken precautionary measures to return the funds.
Elliptic, a blockchain analytics company, stated that about $97 million in cryptocurrencies have been received by the hackers ( https://bit.ly/3gn9of7 ). However, they did not mention whether hackers focused on stablecoins.
'We are working hard on returning those funds, and we ensure the token holders that the value of Anchor tokens will not be affected by this hack.' Cristian Bronescu stated.
